The challenge.
Operators of trading bots need to see positions, orders, PnL and signals in real time, intervene quickly and trust that what is on screen is current. Browser performance under high-frequency updates and consistent state across many widgets were the main technical risks.
What we built.
We designed the dashboard as a set of independent widgets fed by a normalised real-time store. React Query manages server state and caching, Zustand handles UI and streaming state, and charts render only what changed. Controls for pausing strategies, adjusting parameters and placing manual orders include confirmation and audit steps.
- WebSocket streams normalised into a single store with selective re-rendering
- Analytics charts for PnL, exposure and strategy performance
- Strategy controls with confirmations and action history
- Configurable layouts and watchlists per user
- Resilient reconnect logic and stale-data indicators
Outcome.
- 01
Smooth UI under continuous market updates without dropped frames
- 02
A single source of truth for positions and orders across all widgets
- 03
Faster operator reaction time thanks to in-dashboard controls
